The Kills reveal supports and special guests for Brixton Academy

The Kills announce support for their biggest UK show to dateLondon’s Brixton AcademySaturday December 3

“Dirty, loud and intimidatingly sexy” - Clash 9/10
“Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince are tighter, fiercer, and wired with more raw, visceral energy than ever before” - NME
“Era-defining rock from a deadly duo” - The Independent

This Saturday sees The Kills play their biggest UK headline show to date at London’s Brixton Academy. They will be joined by very special guests, Josh T Pearson and Trailer Trash Tracys. Performing onstage with Jamie and Alison, for the first time in London will be their very own Black Rooster Drum Corps and Choir, that recently wowed the six thousand fans at their recent headline shows at Paris Olympia.

An old friend of the band, Josh T Pearson and The Kills got acquainted in the early days when Josh was in his previous band, Lift To Experience. Now making his own waves, his album is currently Album Of The Year at Rough Trade Shops and has just played a sold out show the Barbican. You can watch a short piece on his new album here, and get your hands on a free track here. Trailer Trash Tracys were introduced to The Kills by Romy of The xx; you can listen to them here, as well as picking up a free download.

As The Kills approach their ten year anniversary early next year, the London show comes after a groundbreaking year for Alison and Jamie. Following on from their sell-out show at Camden’s Roundhouse earlier this year, the band went onto a critically acclaimed world tour that saw  them play across the UK, US, Europe, Japan, Australia, South America and Mexico. Highlights included sets at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Fuji, Glastonbury, Hyde Park Calling and the Reading & Leeds festivals, plus a special invite from David Lynch to play his Club Silencio in Paris last month.

‘Blood Pressures’, released earlier this year, finds The Kills delivering their vivid and uniquely gritty post-blues, but with a new level of thoughtfulness and depth not yet explored by the duo. An album tinged with wistfulness and vulnerability, it has an enduring sense of intricacy and richness that intensely blends with their ever-compelling songwriting. UK Live Dates:
