Charlie Simpson Unveils Video for Lead Track of 'Farmer & His Gun' EP

The video for the lead track from Charlie Simpson's new EP 'Farmer & His Gun', released on March 25th, has been premiered.

The 'Watership Down' inspired film was created by acclaimed animation director Alice Dupré who has worked on projects for feature films and TV such as Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Robert Popper’s Friday Night Dinner and Kirk Jones’ Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang.

Charlie described why he chose Alice to create the video: "I met Alice via a friend of mine Corin Hardy, who is a film maker and has worked on some Fightstar videos in the past. I loved how she totally understood the sentiment behind the track, so we got talking about her using her animation skills on it. A big influence on the idea was 'Watership Down' which is a total classic"

Containing four tracks including a cover of Jackson Browne's 'Barricades of Heaven', the EP release also coincides with Charlie's UK tour beginning March 21st. The tour shall see him play some of his biggest shows to date, including a sold-out show at London's KOKO on March 22nd.

You can stream the EP in full on his SoundCloud.
