Afrojack - The JourneyANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE 'THE SPARK'
FEATURING SPREE WILSON RELEASED 10th NOVEMBER
From humble DJ beginnings in Holland to becoming one of EDM’s biggest icons - Afrojack is a force to be reckoned with. Celebrated for having some of the most sought after skills in the world, and two Grammy Awards under his belt, it's easy to see why. His new single, ‘The Spark’ featuring Spree Wilson, is due to be released 10th November through Island Records. Taken from his forthcoming album, ‘The Spark’ showcases a different side to the DJ/producer and gives a taste of what we can expect from his first album as a solo artist; a blaze of infectious beats, larger than life production, killer pop hooks and euphoric melodies - a complete assault on the senses. Nick van der Wall, aka Afrojack, quickly made a name for himself with a slew of hard-hitting underground releases, before exploding in 2011 with the unveiling of "Take Over Control" - an instant worldwide club and chart hit which went platinum in the USA. This also helped solidify his own imprint, Wall Recordings as a pioneering club music brand - a value he holds dear as label boss. As well as making club hits and collaborating with the likes of David Guetta (co-writing and producing the world-wide smash "Titanium"), he also began to team up with some of the biggest pop artists around the world. In 2011 he co-wrote and produced "Give Me Everything" for Pitbull and Ne-Yo, which has sold over 5 million copies worldwide. Not to mention his work for Beyonce's ‘Run the World (Girls)’. Afrojack has also won two Grammys: Best Remix for Madonna’s ‘Revolver’ and Best Rap/HipHop track for Chris Brown’s ‘Look At Me Now’ and gained a Grammy nomination for his remix of Leona Lewis’ ‘Collide’. Superstar DJ’s have been on the rise in recent years, taking over festivals, charts and selling out stadiums, becoming some of the highest earners in the world. The universal language of dance means they can sell out the largest venues in minutes. All factors that have helped Afrojack land seventh place in the Forbes ‘World’s Highest Paid DJ’s 2013 List’. His long anticipated album is nearing completion with tracks already being road-tested at clubs. In the pantheon of EDM greats that have risen over the years, Afrojack has earned his place - the adventure continues as the beat goes on. http://afrojack.com http://facebook.com/djafrojack http://www.youtube.com/afrojackvevo
