The New Zealand quintet today announce the release of new single ‘I Kill Giants’ out December 2nd through Fiction Records (Universal). This is the second single from their critically acclaimed September released album ‘In Rolling Waves’. Watch the video below.

Already gaining traction on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show, ‘I Kill Giants’ is an expansive electro-rocker, beautifully fronted by lead-singer Alisa Xayalith’s personal and heartbreaking vocals. "At first I felt insecure singing about something so infinitely painful and blatantly autobiographical. But now I'm more comfortable explaining that I Kill Giants is a song about losing my mum to breast cancer as a young girl. Thanks to Joel Kefali for directing such a beautiful video.", said Alisa. 

Having just finished a run of 23 dates in North America, The Naked and Famous are due to start their European tour on November 1st in Stockholm. The band’s UK and Ireland tour will kick off on November 21st at the Manchester Ritz before taking in Birmingham’s HMV Institute, Norwich’s UEA, Dublin’s Olympia, Belfast’s Limelight, Glasgow’s ABC, Bristol’s O2 Academy, Oxford’s O2 Academy and finally two consecutive nights at Shepherds Bush Empire on December 1st and 2nd. Released in September, ‘In Rolling Waves’ won the band rave reviews. NME described it as "epic, wide-eyed and unashamedly massive", the Guardian said "it couldn't sound more audaciously epic if it rode around on a lightning bolt without any underwear" and The Line Of Best Fit heralded the record as "a glorious return". 

Written at their home in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, ‘In Rolling Waves’ was produced by singer Thom Powers and keyboardist Aaron Short and also credits Justin Meldal-Johnsen (M83, Beck and NIN) with co-production on two tracks. Alan Moulder mixed the album at his Assault and Battery Studio in London.
