Depeche Mode discuss new single 'Wrong'

Depeche Mode have revealed their rather bleak new single 'Wrong' is a deliberate and short-lived change of direction for the band. It was directed by Patrick Daughters who has previously worked with the Kings of Leon, Yeah Yeah Yeas and Liars.

Frontman Dave Gahan told The Sun: "We chose Patrick for the same reason really that we chose 'Wrong' which was we wanted to do something that was strikingly different to what you’ve seen before visually in the video department from Depeche.

"It's immediately in your face so you know the visuals have got to go with that. I think it comes off."
