Blonde bombshell Diana Vickers has revealed that after appearing on 'The X Factor' back in 2008 she decided to 'distance' herself from it and can't really enjoy watching the show when it's on.

Speaking to Yahoo! OMG about her career's progression since taking part on the popular vocal talent show, she confessed that it was a great stepping stone but she prefers to stand alone now:

"It was so long ago [that I was on The X Factor], to be honest I sometimes watch it if it is on but I don’t really get into it. I sort of distance myself, I don’t really get stuck in or watch it religiously though -I just will be curious!"

Despite her reservations about the programme, Vickers admitted that she would definitely agree to go back and perform on it if she was ever asked because it gave her a fantastic start:

"I’d love that [to perform on the show] because at the end of the day it was such a great platform. So many people tune in and it has had so many acts on there who have done well like Olly Murs, Little Mix and One Direction, so it makes me really proud to be a part of that."
