Dizzee Rascal is to have his life story told in a new book, provisionally titled 'The Dizzee Rascal Story', set to be released in October.

The book will be published by Canongate Books and Dirtee Books – a new publishing arm of the rapper's Dirtee Stank label.

It is not clear if Dizzee Rascal will write the volume himself – Nick Davies, Canongate's Editorial Director, declared: "Not only is Dizzee one of the most talented and innovative musicians alive today, he is one of the most articulate and opinionated – as his lyrics testify… It promises to be a genuinely groundbreaking book."

A hardback version of the book featuring original photos and lyrics will be released, along with an audiobook format (and digital edition). A paperback version will follow in summer 2011.
