Sir Elton John welcomes second baby

Sir Elton John and partner David Furnish have become fathers for the second time.

The couple became dads for the first time in December 2010 when a surrogate mother gave birth to baby Zachary.

Rumours floated around the media recently that the duo had welcomed their second child, but it was shot down by a spokesperson.

However, the 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' man has revealed to Hello! that the couple are now fathers to Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John.

He was born in Los Angeles via surrogate mother, weighing 8lbs and 4oz.

Speaking about the new arrival, John said: "Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable. The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time - we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement."
