Music icon Sir Elton John has opened up about his love and admiration for vocal sensation Adele.

Speaking at his annual AIDS fundraiser in Los Angeles, the 'Rocket Man' legend explained that he believes in everything she stands for because she has a raw natural talent and is always true to herself:

"She's authentic, she doesn't lip-synch, she comes on and she sings, she's the real deal. She's not slick, she's human, she's imperfect, she's what every entertainer should be."

Meanwhile, Adele won the prize for Best Original Song (for her Bond theme, 'Skyfall') at last night's Oscars and treated the live audience and viewers at home to a stunning rendition of the track.
