Eminem hints at royal disapproval over Hyde Park gig

Eminem lent weight to reports that suggest a potential gig at London's Hyde Park has been placed into doubt because of disapproval from the royal family.

A story emanated recently in the media which said the rapper had been in "advanced talks" with the organisers of the British Summer Time gig series, who are hosting a number of Hyde Park gigs in July.

However, it is said that the Royal Parks organisation will only allow acts to perform if they are "fit for the Queen", with Eminem's lyrics putting the gig in doubt.

Whilst an alleged resolution could reportedly be in the offing, Eminem posted on Instagram an image that channels the anti-royal Sex Pistols and their 'Never Mind the Bollocks...' album cover.

It simply says: "Never mind Hyde Park."

Other acts meanwhile officially confirmed to play the British Summer Time series in July include The Libertines, Neil Young and Black Sabbath.
