Eminem becomes first artist to achieve Diamond status with two digital singles

Eminem has made history in the US by landing two Digital Single Diamond Awards.

The rapper's 2010 tracks 'Not Afraid' and 'Love The Way You Lie', which feature on his album 'Recovery', have both passed the ten million digital sales and streams mark.

This means that he will be on hand to collect two separate Digital Single Diamond Awards from the RIAA - and he will be the first person to do so.

RIAA chairman/CEO Cary Sherman commented: "We are delighted to recognise Eminem as the first artist to earn two RIAA Digital Diamond Awards. This singular achievement - earning a Diamond Award on two separate digital songs - is unparalleled, and we congratulate him on forever etching a mark in Gold & Platinum Program history."

In 2013, the RIAA added streams to the digital certification tally, with the body stating on their website:

"100 on-demand audio and/or video streams will count as 1 Unit for certification purposes."
