Eminem has landed the top spot in a new MTV poll and gained the title of Hottest MC in the Game, beating out fellow rap megastars Jay-Z and Kanye West.

The ‘8-Mile’ star recently made a comeback with hit album ‘Recovery’ after suffering from depression and drug addiction. The record has also spawned several chart smashing singles including ‘Not Afraid’, ‘No Love’ and ‘Love The Way You Lie’.

With all of this taken into account, members of the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust were moved to place the rapper at the top of their annual survey naming him the best rapper alive. Jay-Z came in behind Eminem and Kanye West slipped in at number three.

The top ten of the list also included Drake and Rick Ross at fourth and fifth place respectively as well as Eminem collaborator Lil Wayne.
