Sri Lanka president angered by females fans at Enrique Iglesias gigThe president of Sri Lanka has heavily criticised the promoter of a recent Enrique Iglesias gig in the country due to the behaviour of his female fans. The singer performed live in Colombo on December 20, with some women throwing their underwear on stage as well as kissing him. This has irked president Maithripala Sirisena, who says the women's behaviour was "most uncivilised". He called for the promoter of the show to be given the ancient punishment of being whipped with toxic stingray tails. Sirisena told a public meeting: "This is most uncivilised behaviour that goes against our culture. "I don't advocate that these uncivilised women who removed their brassieres should be beaten with toxic stingray tails, but those who organised such an event should be."
