'Kickstarts' hitmaker Example has revealed that he is set to announce some exciting news very soon as he prepares to unveil his brand new single.

He took to social networking site Twitter earlier this afternoon (July 24) and explained that in addition to confirming details about his new cut he will also share the dates of his upcoming UK arena tour with his 1.2 million followers:

"Will be announcing my next single in a few days... the Feb/March Arena tour will be announced in next two weeks... announcing announcements."

He also teased information about a video shoot yesterday (July 23) and told his fans that he had been painted silver (picture above left) for a project in collaboration with Rankin. He wrote: "We've decided on silver body paint. Quite a few people not into the black paint idea and I don't wanna John Terry myself."

Over the weekend, Example told the Daily Star newspaper that he has written 3 songs for boyband One Direction and joked today that he's "a Directioner" after posting a photograph of a plane ticket on Instagram that shows a seat number of '01D'.
