Example cancels October gigs due to leg injury

British hitmaker Example has been forced to pull out of his scheduled shows later this month due to a pre-existing leg injury.

The 'Kickstarts' star was due to perform at the University Of Hertfordshire's Hatfield Forum along with at concerts in Africa and Australia, but has now cancelled because he needs to recover fully.

Writing on his official Twitter page this afternoon (October 2), Example apologised for the change of plans and explained that he hopes to make it up to his fans in the near future:

"With huge regret I've had to cancel/reschedule all my Oct shows. My achilles tendinitis has got worse and I need time to recover..."

"Hoping to be back to full fitness asap and in time to play my November/December shows. Details of the rescheduled shows soon."

His forthcoming new album, 'The Evolution Of Man', is due to be released on November 18.
