GIULIA PRESS PARTY QUESTIONS

  -        Firstly, tell us a little about how you got into music?

 -       Your album is called ‘Raze Me To The Ground’, what is the inspiration behind this album? Is there a ‘theme’ to it?

Well there is no particular theme that I actually thought about when I wrote the album!  Everything comes from very different true and personal life experiences.  Maybe my next album will be more specific about an exact time in my life.

-       What/who are your musical influences?

I would say that my biggest musical influences are Johnny Cash, Elvis moving towards more modern artists like Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne and Alanis Morissette. Also bands such as lynyrd Skynyrd and Maroon Five.

 -       How would you describe your sound?

I would describe my sound as rocky, edgy, romantic and very honest.

Country/Rock with a modern twist of Pop!

 -       You’re Italian, how does the Italian music scene differ to the British?

It's very different but at the same time very similar. A lot of mechanisms in the industry are the same.  We also have a lot of talent shows and almost everything evolves from these.

 -       Will you be doing any live tour dates in the UK in 2015?

Well actually, I've got a concert scheduled on the 29th of August at the Royal Arsenal Festival in London, and a concert on the 13th of September in Newcastle.  I really hope that this year I will be performing a lot throughout the UK.

-       You also have a fashion line – how did that come about, do you have any fashion links?

Well I wouldn't say that “I” have a fashion line, all the amazing work comes from Anna's ( Anna Sammarone) incredible talent. We met through my mother since they used to work together in fashion, and now we have became business partners.  First and foremost we are friends, she is an incredible designer and I learned everything that I have come to know about fashion from her.  I guess fashion has always been a part of my life, but I never thought of actually working in the fashion industry until this opportunity with Anna came about.

 -       What can we expect from your 2015 fashion collection?  Is it available in the UK?

Anna's just finished her 2016 SS collection and it's incredible! Regarding the 2015 collection it's available for sale online at www.annasammarone.com.  At the moment Anna is focused on the United States, Russia, Emirates, and Europe.  We are looking forward to bringing it to the UK very soon.

 -        Where do you hope to be in x1 year’s time – what’s the big plan?

I really hope I'm still doing what I love, I hope that I've reached some of my goals, in part I already have.  I’d still like to make time for my family and friends they are so important to me.  They are my strength I  wouldn't be where I am without them.
