Florence Welch: 'I've never cared about having a No.1 single'

Florence Welch says bagging number ones isn't something that bothers her.

The singer's band Florence + the Machine have to date achieved two No.1 albums and one No.1 single.

Their latest studio effort 'How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful' will be released on June 1.

Speaking to Billboard, Welch said that she isn't too focused on getting another No. 1.

The Brit said: "I try not to think about it. I'm a strange kind of ambitious, because I never cared about having a number-one single.

"I remember being 20 at the Glastonbury festival. And I had been invited to come and play the Sunday Tea Tent, and I was in my anorak and I had no wellies, and it was one of the muddiest Glastonburys of all time. I remember looking at the Pyramid Stage and thinking, 'I wish I could perform there just one time'."
