Florence + the Machine: 'It would be wonderful to headline Glastonbury'

Songstress Florence Welch has revealed that she would love to headline Glastonbury Festival in the future, but isn't sure how she would have coped with such a big slot this year

Speaking to the NME recently, the Florence + The Machine frontwoman explained that it would be an honour to top the bill on the iconic Pyramid stage in the future: "I think I'm quite happy with where we are. It would be wonderful to headline, but also I don't know how I'd be dealing with that right now."

Although her band isn't headlining, the are playing at 7.15pm on the Pyramid Stage on Friday, June 26. Following their set will be a live performance by Foo Fighters. Welch added:

"I'm not really planning what's going to happen at Glastonbury, because I just don't know. It's almost quite hard for me to remember gigs sometimes, because I just don't know what happens. It's almost as if something else completely takes over. So if I'm back in fully charged feet mode, I'm nervous for what's going to happen. It's this sense that anything could happen."
