Florence + the Machine score UK No.1 album

Florence + the Machine have shot straight in at No.1 this evening (June 7) with their third studio album 'How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful'.

The band racked up combined sales of just under 70,000 to claim their third chart-topping record, following 2009’s 'Lungs', which re-enters the Top 40 today at No.18, and 2011’s 'Ceremonials'. Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro enter at No.2 with their second album 'Act Two', and Jamie xx is new at 3 with his solo debut 'In Colour'.

Elsewhere on the UK Top 40, heartthrob Jason Derulo's new record, 'Everything Is 4', entered at No.16, punk band Slaves have made an appearance at No.8 with their debut album 'Are You Satisfied?', and Major Lazer’s third record 'Peace Is The Mission' has landed at 25.
