Speaking to Billboard, the 'Wild Ones' hitmaker explained that he did some of the recording for his new album in the same studio that Michael Jackson worked on 'Thriller' and it was a great source of inspiration for him:

"You know, I actually got a chance to do some recording in the same studio where Michael Jackson did 'Thriller'."

He continued: "We did some work in there and I came up with like seven masterpieces."

"Every record I've put out this year has been number one and I look forward to this being number one as well. It starts with the music, but I look forward to venturing off and getting into some acting. Travelling the world, doing some touring."

The US rapper has recently collaborated with Olly Murs on his No.1 track 'Troublemaker' - and it seems he's got more duets in mind.

Speaking to Capital FM, Flo Rida picked Outkast, Beyoncé and Rihanna as three acts he would like to team up with soon. He said:

"I am a big fan of Outkast, you know, those guys definitely inspired me and a lot more hip-hop artists. Right now, I would love to work with them, and do something with Beyoncé and Rihanna."

The rap man added: "[Rihanna's] doing some amazing things and I just think that's next level for me. Because in anything you do, you always want to take your career to greater heights, especially if you look forward to being around for quite a while."

The US rapper recently worked with X Factor star Olly Murs on his new single 'Troublemaker' and it seems the 'Live While We're Young' boyband are in his sights too.

When asked by Capital FM about a potential collaboration with the 'One Thing' stars, Flo Rida replied:

"They hold their ground, I'm pretty sure if I get on the record I'm gonna hold my ground. That's what the fans like. They love seeing some things that might seem out of the norm."

The rapper continued: "But, we both have fans that love us and support our records to the utmost and I just think that would be beautiful for music."

One Direction, meanwhile, are due to unveil the video for their new single 'Little Things' later today (November 2).

The US rapper, currently the biggest selling singles artist in the UK this year, told the Daily Star that he can’t wait for people to hear his collaboration with the Xtra Factor host, ‘Troublemaker.’

“I thought the song was a hit when I first heard it and the track’s come out hot.

“He is talented and I admire him for doing so well since he was on The X Factor. I like the talent shows. It’s great that there’s these platforms give musicians national exposure.”

The 32-year-old, who this week revealed the wildest thing he’s seen on tour, also went on to discuss his experience of working with The Saturdays on their 2010 single, ‘Higher.’

“I don’t get a chance to see the girls as often as I’d like as we’re both so busy, but we always have a good time.

“I’d love to work with more Brits. I think Ed Sheeran is incredible.”

Speaking to Billboard, the star explained that fans get really into his live performance and often put themselves in danger, but it's all part of the fun:

"Wildest thing I've probaly seen on tour is a lot of times ... i get on one of my securities' neck, go in the crowd, and I just see the fans copycatting that. Even little babies, they're holding them up in the air with their shoulders... When I see that its just so amazing because they're enjoying it and I'm enjoying it myself."

He also told Billboard that he's gearing up to take his live show across the pond to Europe before the end of the year.

He has knocked Taylor Swift from her impressive two-week reign at No.1 with her track 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' although it only decreased 11 % overall in Hot 100 points accoring to Nielsen SoundScan so it was a close race.

Writing on his official Twitter page earlier this evening (September 5), he thanked his fans for supporting the song: "#Repost #TeamFlo we did it again! ☝lemme hear you #whistle!"

Back in August, he was ordered to pay $400,000 after cancelling a performance at an Australian music festival at the last minute.

Back in May, the 'Wild Ones' hitmaker was slapped with a lawsuit for failing to attend the Fat As Butter event in Newcastle, New South Wales and at a hearing last week it was decided that he should pay compensation for his actions.

Judge Judith Gibson said: "All of these angry patrons demanded a refund, sometimes in confronting language, such as: 'You guys didn't deliver what you advertised and I paid for.'"

"Sponsors were lost as news of the no-show spread far and wide through the use of social media such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The no-show by Flo Rida damaged the trading reputation of the plaintiff, impacting its ability to stage future events, attract patrons and compete with rivals in the music event industry."

Flo Rida and VIP Entertainment and Concepts now have to pay $380,400 in damages and $37,745 in legal fees.

During an interview with Billboard.com, the 'Whistle' hitmaker explained that he's dedicated to maintaining his physique and is interested in maybe putting out a fitness programme for his fans to follow:

"I'm definitely going to do that. I have quite a workout regimen."

"I've always been about fitness and my fans can definitely appreciate that."

Earlier this week, Flo Rida tweeted a message to his 892,000 followers to thank them for their continued support as his single 'Whistle' hit No.1 on the U.S. iTunes singles chart:

"It's an honor to again have the #1 record in the world GOD IS GOOD #teamflo #Lov #whistle #WILDONES"

Speaking to Billboard.com, the superstar explained that the record will be called 'Wild Ones' and is due to be official released on July 3 through IMG/Poe Boy/Atlantic.

He also opened up about the new music he's been working on and admitted that this cut will be full of "No.1s", which inspired the title:

"With this album, there's gonna be a lot of No.1s, so that's why I came up with the title 'Wild Ones,'. I made it my business to be inspired by just traveling around the world, and just coming up with some music that the world can enjoy -- to take this from local to national to international."

"I'm just taking things to new heights, and we're here for the marathon," Flo Rida added, "Maybe the next album will be called 'Marathon.'"

Last week, details of a lawsuit involving Flo Rida emerged in which an Australian promoter is trying to sue him for failing to perform at a scheduled event. Flo Rida has since explained that transportation to the festival wasn't provided.

An Australian concert promoter is suing the 'Wild Ones' superstar for failing to turn up to a scheduled performance at the Fat As Butter music festival last year, and after struggling to get in contact with Flo Rida he decided to serve him the legal papers over Facebook.

Now, Flo Rida has opened up about the allegations and told AllHipHop.com that the promoter in question failed to provide him with any transportation to the concert so it's not entirely his own fault:

"Promoters try to jerk you (around)... A lot of times anyone can come up and say anything and get everyone's attention..."

"They feel like they should pay you a certain amount of money, and they feel like they shouldn't give you a ride to the venue. Maybe they thought that I should have brought my Bugatti (luxury sports car) to Australia, and that I could have brought my own car."

The 'Wild Ones' rapper, whose real name is Tramar Dillard, was due to perform at Australia's Fat as Butter music festival last October, but failed to show up and because he was given a rather hefty advance of $55,000 (£34,375) he now owes the event's promoter money.

Speaking to Australia's Daily Telegraph, lawyer Matthew Hourn explained that after trying to contact the star directly it was found to be easier to message him through the social networking site as he often updates it:

"Our process server tried arranging meetings with his agents and attended appearances in Melbourne - but due to his large entourage and security, we were unable to serve him personally."

It means that last week's No.1 - Coldplay's 'Paradise' - has been demoted to No.2, with Taio Cruz's 'Troublemaker' a new entry at No.3.

Avicii's 'Levels' rose eight places to No.4 whilst completing the top five is Rizzle Kicks with 'Mama Do The Hump'.

Olly Murs meanwhile dropped four places to No.6 with 'Dance With Me Tonight', whilst Jessie J's 'Domino' enjoyed a gargantuan 26 place leap up the chart to land at No.8.

His tweeted ad stated: "I'm looking for a new assistant! I need someone who is professional, motivated, able to travel and ready to work."

The rapper gave out a contact twitter name for applicants.

The 'Right Round' star was pulled over by police in Miami Beach earlier today, June 9, and his blood alcohol level came back as .185, which is twice over the legal limit in Florida (0.8). 

No further information has been given at this time, but the rapper has been working in the studio on his forthcoming album, 'Only One Rida'.
