Gary Barlow: 'Robbie Williams probably won't replace me on 'The X Factor' panel'

Singer Gary Barlow has revealed that it's unlikely his Take That bandmate and friend Robbie Williams will replace him on 'The X Factor' panel because he is far too busy for that kind of commitment.

He told London's Metro newspaper that he will be stepping down before the 2014 series begins, but doesn't think the 'Angels' superstar will take his place. Instead, Barlow believes the return of music mogul Simon Cowell would be much better:

"I don't think anybody [can replace me]. Everyone is speculating that Simon will be coming back and I think that would be great for the show."

"I don't know about [Robbie]. I know how much time and patience you need for this show so I don't know. I know he's still flying as an artist and if I was to ask him I'm pretty sure he would say it's not the right time."

'The X Factor' host, Dermot O'Leary, initially told press about Barlow's plans to quit the show back in the summer: "If Simon [Cowell] comes back, the dynamic would be very different. Gary [Barlow] wouldn't be there - he'll be leaving at the end of this year."
