Gary Barlow: 'I'd love to write songs for 'X Factor' winner Sam Bailey'

Take That sensation Gary Barlow has revealed that if the opportunity to write songs for new 'X Factor' winner Sam Bailey came along he would jump at it

During a brief interview on 'The Xtra Factor' yesterday following the show's finale (December 15), he was asked if he would like to work with Bailey as she begins to launch her professional career and he explained that he would be honoured to:

"Oh, absolutely. I think the whole world will be looking at Sam right now as a great vehicle to be able perform their song with that kind of emotion and the kind of technical ability that she's got. It's incredible. I would be excited as a songwriter to write for her voice."

Barlow, meanwhile, recently admitted that he won't be returning to 'The X Factor' for the next series although he did hint at a possible reunion in the future: "There's a reason to come back in the future. Maybe not next year. It's been nice."

"I've had three beautiful years on the show, really enjoyed it, met some friends for life, but it's time to go. I'm going to miss everyone especially Mrs O and Nicole and even Louis."
