George Michael admits to narcotics counselling and reveals weight loss

Speaking at the opening night of his Symphonica tour, George Michael revealed that he's been undergoing treatment for his cannabis use and has shed a significant amount of weight.

The 'Faith' singer performed in Prague on August 22 and along with telling the audience that he split up with partner Kenny Goss more than 2 years ago, he also admitted to narcotics counselling:

"I've been in counselling for substance abuse for nearly 10 months, and part of the advantage of that is I've dropped about 14 or 15lbs. All my old clothes fit me. I wouldn't say I'm looking in the mirror but it's definitely one of the advantages of being cleaner."

The star also referred to his jail time as a "logical experience" after spending four weeks behind bars last year for driving under the influence of drugs and crashing his car into a shop, and said:

"I felt I had a bill to pay and I thought that prison was a logical conclusion to a very dark chapter. I wouldn't say it was a good experience, but it was a logical experience."
