George Michael finishes new song 'White Light'

George Michael has finished work on his forthcoming new song 'White Light'.

The singer took to Twitter to reveal the good news, confirming that the track was wrapped up in the early hours of this morning (April 24).

It marks the first release since he was struck down by a near-fatal bout of pneumonia last year whilst in Austria. Speaking on Twitter, he said:

"Ok my lovelies, WHITE LIGHT is done and dusted! Am I allowed to say it may be the best dance record I've ever made....!"

He continued: "Finished it today..... :)"

Earlier this month Michael had informed fans of his plans to record the track in dedication for those who had supported him through his health scare, saying: "Yesterday I began to write a song called "White Light". It's for all of you, for everyone who prayed for me, for every one of you who has prayed for me, for every person who has stopped me in the streets to ask me how I'm doing, you have made me feel so blessed. And I promise you it's a blinder. :)"
