Chord Overstreet booted from regular ‘Glee’ cast

Creator of popular musical show ‘Glee’, Ryan Murphy, has announced that the season three cast of the show will see some changes, including dropping the big-lipped favourite Sam Evans – played by Chord Overstreet – from the regular cast.

Overstreet joined the cast at the beginning of season two and became a fan favourite. He is currently in Ireland performing on the European leg of the ‘Glee’ tour with his soon-to-be-former castmates. The star, who is working on a solo album, hinted at the news last night with a cryptic tweet, saying: “Well its been a good yr too bad its over, time for summer and starting fresh.”

Murphy says that Chord will still make appearances on the show, but not as a regular. However, Darren Criss (Blain) and Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) have both been upgraded to full-time regulars for Season 3.
