Jane Lynch believes an upcoming episode of Glee that pays tribute to Cory Monteith is "beautiful".

As previously reported, the popular US TV series was plunged into despair last month when Monteith, who played the role of Finn Hudson, died aged 31.

His death was put down to a deadly mix of heroin and alcohol, with the coroner report coming just weeks before Glee started recording its next series.

Speaking on Twitter, actress Jane Lynch said that an upcoming Glee episode which acts as a "memorial" to Monteith is a touching tribute. She said:

"Just read Cory Monteith memorial episode. Most beautiful thing. Thank you, @MrRPMurphy @BFalchuk Ian Brennan."

Glee bosses meanwhile previously confirmed that Finn Hudson will not suffer a drugs overdose when written out of the series.
