Exit Festival has been awarded the Best European Summer Music Festival for 2016 by the leading travel portal "European Best Destinations" in cooperation with the European Commission. Exit has been ranked number one, before the British Glastonbury and Secret Garden, Belgian Tomorrowland, as well as the neighbouring Sziget. "European Best Destinations" have also stated: “Exit Festival has become of one the most important music festival in the world. European Best Destinations is a European organization created to promote culture and tourism in Europe, together with the 355 European tourism offices members of this organization they promote, since 2009, the best of Europe. Its work and annual recognitions, voted for by hundreds of thousands travellers from the entire world are directly influencing promotion of the awarded destinations, which later see an increase in the number of global tourists and investors. Novi Sad, home of Exit Festival, has also been nominated for the Best European destination in 2016.

Exit festival will be held from 7 to 10 July at the Petrovaradin Fortress, later moving on to the Adriatic Sea to continue the Exit Adventure at Jaz Beach in Montenegro for the third annual Sea Dance Festival, held from 14 to 16 July.
