Goldfrapp have confirmed plans to release a new album.

The Brits will unleash the record 'Tales of Us' on September 9 in what will be their sixth studio effort.

The news was announced today (June 11) on the group's official website, with the band also confirming the album's tracklisting.

It features song names such as 'Jo', 'Drew' and 'Simone'.

Goldfrapp also confirmed a new batch of European tour dates due to take place later in the year. Their schedule so far is as follows:

• October 21 - Amsterdam, Paradiso
• October 22 - Brussels, Ancienne Belgique
• October 23 - Berlin, Heimathafen Neukölln
• October 25 - Paris, Le Trianon Hall
• October 26 - Zurich, Kaufleuten
• November 1 - London, Hammersmith Apollo
