Green Day storming to No.1 in UK with 'Revolution Radio'

Green Day are odds-on to land this week's No.1 album in the UK.

The band's new effort 'Revolution Radio' is currently 13,000 units in front on the chart, selling 24,000 copies so far since Friday (October 7).

If they can stay put at No.1 until Friday (October 14), it will be Green Day's third chart-topping record in the UK.

At No.2 is Alter Bridge's new entry 'The Last Hero', while Barry Gibb is in at No.3 with 'In The Now'.

Kaiser Chiefs' newbie 'Stay Together' is straight in at No.4, with 'Oh My My' by OneRepublic entering at No.5.

Feeder debut at No.7 with their new effort 'All Bright Electric' and White Lies return to the chart at No.9 with 'Day Breaks'.

Other new entries include Sum 41's '13 Voices' (No.12), Placebo's 'A Place For Us to Dream' (No.15) and Meshuggah's 'The Violent Sleep of Reason' (No.16).
