Green Day bag third US No.1 album with 'Revolution Radio'

Green Day have landed their third US No.1 album.

Billboard confirmed that their new effort 'Revolution Radio' sold 95,000 equivalent album units in its first week on sale.

This means that it topped the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Green Day previously hit No.1 in 2009 with '21st Century Breakdown' and in 2005 with 'American Idiot'.

Norah Jones' 'Day Breaks' meanwhile entered the Billboard 200 at No.2, while OneRepublic's 'Oh My My' debuted at No.3.
