Gwen Stefani reveals how she gets inspired

No Doubt's frontwoman Gwen Stefani has admitted that she has a special method that she uses to spark her creativity when she's feeling uninspired, but needs to be actively working.

In an interview with Nylon magazine, the platinum-haired beauty explained that she hosts "creative days" with groups of friends in order to get her brain thinking and her imagination running:

"I [get] all my favourite people that I work with [together] and we [have] a creative day. [All of us] basically all sat around with our art books and [magazine] tears and just put them up and did collages and tried to get a direction. We ended up not using anything, but it was really fun."

She also opened up about the resurgence of No Doubt, adding that it's fantastic to be working in the music industry once again regardless of in what capacity:

"I'm telling you right now, being number one or playing in a garage - they're both super fun."
