MATT D’ARDUINI APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT OF 4TH & B’WAY/VICE PRESIDENT OF A&R, ISLAND RECORDS

(Sept. 23, 2013 - New York, NY)  Island Def Jam Music Group expands its A&R scope with the appointment of Matt D'Arduini to the newly created position of Vice President of 4th & B'way/Vice President of A&R, Island Records, it was announced today by David Massey, President, Island Records. 

Mr. D'Arduini comes to Island from Robbins Entertainment where he worked his way up from the mailroom to A&R Director.  He was involved in the signing of Afrojack, Cedric Gervais, DHT, and many others at Robbins, and worked closely with multi-platinum Eurodance sensation, Cascada.  Mr. D'Arduini will now oversee current and new artist projects on the relaunched 4th & B'way label and on Island Records, actively seeking out, discovering and signing new talent.  Mr. D'Arduini, who is based in New York, will report directly to Mr. Massey.

"With our current success of Avicii, Afrojack, and Cazzette, Matt's experiences in the exploding dance and EDM movements are a perfect fit for Island Records and the growth of our 4th & B'way label," said Mr. Massey.  "Matt is an accomplished executive with a proven track record  and we are fortunate to have him join our team."
