James Blunt confirms new album 'Moon Landing'

British singer-songwriter James Blunt has revealed plans for a brand new album that will be released later this album.

This forthcoming new offering, entitled 'Moon Landing', will be his fourth full-length studio recording and it is due to be unveiled October 21.

It was produced by Tom Rothrock, who has previously worked with the likes of Moby and the Foo Fighters, and he also collaborated with Blunt on his album, 'Back To Bedlam'.

Speaking about the impending release, he explained that it is very 'personal' and details his journey as a musician:

"This is a much more personal album, and also quite back to basics. It's about me and Tom, the producer, finding where the story all started and where we are now."

In October 2012, Blunt joked about rumours that suggested he had decided to quit music and poked fun at one of the reports, writing on Facebook: "The Mail on Sunday has reported that James Blunt has split up due to musical differences. Neither could be reached for comment due to recording commitments."
