James Morrison's third album, 'The Awakening', has entered the UK midweek album charts at number one.

The album, which was released on September 23, has knocked Kasabian's 'Velociraptor!' off the top spot to second position, just ahead of Ed Sheeran's '+'.

The lead single from album, 'I Won't Let You Go', is currently at number 6 in the singles charts. 

The album features a duet he did with Jessie J called 'Up'. Morrison recently said that he almost turned down the opportunity to work with the 'Do It Like A Dude' singer.
