Singer Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks recently ended their relationship and he has now revealed that the split happened in a rather unfortunate manner. 

During a new interview with Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club, Derulo was asked how he chose to end their three-year relationship and he admitted that because he was away at the time, it had to be done in a rather impersonal way: “Over the phone. I wasn’t in town."

He was also quizzed on the rumours that suggest infidelity played a part in their split, to which he replied: “Nah, man there was none of that. I mean, we had our problems in our relationship, you know what I'm saying? Every relationship has their ups and downs and you know, when you start having more downs than ups, you know, you gotta take a look at your relationship and be like, you know, 'Is this something that I'm supposed to be doing…?'"

Sparks, meanwhile, appeared on 'The Wendy Williams Show' yesterday and was asked if Derulo cheated on her, but was careful about her response: "I actually don't want to comment on that."
