Jason Derulo joins 'So You Think You Can Dance' as a judge

'Trumpets' hitmaker Jason Derulo has joined the judging panel for the upcoming 12th season of America's 'So You Think You Can Dance', it was announced today.

During a new interview with On Air with Ryan earlier this morning (January 26), the heartthrob explained that he's so excited to be joining the show because dancing is a passion of his that never goes away:

"It’s exciting. I’m such a big lover of dance. I had a passion for dance since I was 4-years-old. I can’t remember which one I started doing first, whether it was dance or singing. I’m excited, we see some of the best dancers in the world in this show, so I couldn’t be more amped.”

Derulo teased that the show, which is due to return this summer on FOX, has changed up its format so viewers and existing fans will be surprised this time around:

“The dances that we’re going to see — the show is changing. So it’s going to be revamped and it’s going to have a new face. It’s almost like a facelift to something that was already amazing. It’s just going to be a little different.”

Also joining the panel for the new series is Paula Adbul, who will take a seat beside Derulo, Cat Deeley and Nigel Lythgoe.
