Jason Derulo's 'Talk Dirty' lands at No.1 on the midweek chart update

American hitmaker Jason Derulo has shot straight in at No.1 on today's (September 18) midweek chart update with his brand new single, 'Talk Dirty'.

The track, which features rapper 2 Chainz, has sold almost 100,000 copies after just 3 days of being released and it is now around 61,000 units ahead of Katy Perry's 'Roar', which has now slipped to No.2. If he maintains his chart lead until Sunday when the positions are confirmed, this will be his third UK No.1 single.

Jessie J is celebrating a high new entry at No.3 with 'It's My Party', Avicii's 'You Make Me' has debuted at 4, and Christina Perri’s 'A Thousand Years' has climbed an impressive 88 places to No.7 after it was recently performed on 'X Factor'.

Elsewhere on the UK Top 40, Miley Cyrus has dropped to No.14 with 'We Can't Stop', The Wanted have made an appearance at No.19 with their new offering 'We Own The Night', and Demi Lovato's 'Skyscraper' has soared back into the chart at 32.
