JLo on love and relationships: 'I just don't like to be alone'

Songstress Jennifer Lopez has opened up about the last 12 months in her life and confessed that she feels as though been successful and lucky in her personal relationships.

She will take her seat on the 'American Idol' panel when it begins again early next month and explained that she has learned so much over the past year, and is more self-confident because of what she has been through:

"I was surrounded by love and family. I really grew. My goal was not to come out the other side and just survive it but grow as a human being as well as an artist, and I felt I did. I learned a lot. I'm one of those people who does not like to be alone. I have no shame saying that at this point in my life. I think we have to own who we are."

When asked if she sees a wedding in her future with boyfriend Casper Smart, JLo admitted that following her separation from husband Marc Antony she is being incredibly cautious:

"I don't know. We'll see. I don't know. You know, I've always believed in that institution. I believe in it, but it is difficult. I've had my challenges, but at the same time I believe in love, and I think that is the main thing."
