Moroccan Prime Minister orders investigation into Jennifer Lopez broadcast

The Prime Minister of Morocco has asked authorities to investigate a broadcast of a Jennifer Lopez concert for being too "sexually suggestive".

The singer performed at the Mawazine festival in Rabat on May 29 and the gig was shown on the 2M public TV network.

However, Benkirane has said the show violates the country's law on broadcasting because was too "suggestive".

He said the concert contained some "disgraceful scenes".

The Prime Minister has now written to the High Authority of Audiovisual Communication in Morocco to investigate why such a gig was broadcast.
