JLo gets emotional on 'American Idol' as the show nears to an end

During a group performance on Thursday night's 'American Idol,' panelist Jennifer Lopez struggled to retain her emotions.

The beauty was watching a rendition of Clean Bandit's 'Rather Be' by a hopeful when she began to feel nostalgic and sad about the impending end of the season. She explained:

"While you guys were singing 'There's no place I'd rather be,' I got very emotional because you reminded me how much I love this job and how much I'm really gonna miss Idol. I love this whole thing and I love what it does for singers, and I love everything about it. It's been a joy for me to sit here and watch this for so many years. Thank you."

Back in May last year, Lopez admitted that she didn't truly believe 'American Idol' would end: "You know, I don't believe anything... It's not over till it's over. So I just feel like you never know. Yes they've announced it's the last season next year, but... after the finale this week and you feel that moment... You remember why you love this show."
