Jennifer Lopez's Nuyorican Productions has joined forces with NBC to create a 10-episode order dance competition series.  

The show, entitled 'World of Dance', will see hopefuls face off against each other in various dance styles and the finalists will compete for a $1 million prize. At the time of writing, it's not known whether Jennifer Lopez will appear on camera. 

She issued a statement on the exciting news and confessed that it will be a "fierce" and emotionally-fuelled new show that people will love:

"This will be a fierce talent-heavy dance competition that embraces the raw emotion and excitement that dance represents. I am excited to work with World of Dance, an organisation that has had an immeasurable impact on the dance community, to give all dancers an enormous platform where their dreams can be realised."

Earlier this week, Planet Hollywood confirmed that Jennifer Lopez's Las Vegas residency, entitled All I Have, has been extended due to phenomenal demand: "Due to overwhelming demand, 21 new dates for @JLo's #AlliHave have been announced. Tickets on sale Friday at 10am."
