JLo on new American Idol: 'Our standards are higher than last season'

Jennifer Lopez has revealed that her second term as a judge on American Idol has already begun and the competition has been stepped up.

The 'Papi' singer was invited back as a panelist on the new season, along with co-judges Randy Jackson and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, and she told Billboard that the only difference this time around is that their standards for auditions are even higher given the incredible levels of talent being found in the U.S:

"Everything we're doing -- because we already started auditioning and stuff like that -- it's just that we're trying to make it better. Watching the singers, we're like, 'Are they as good as our Top 24 from last year? I don't know!' So our standards are even higher than last year in a crazy way. So we'll see -- I think it's gonna be a great season."
