Jennifer Lopez has admitted that she isn't sure if she will head back to American Idol.

The superstar singer was a judge on the programme between 2010 and 2012 as she tried her hand at TV talent shows.

After judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey recently announced their departure from the Idol panel, however, it had been speculated that Lopez would return.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest's radio show, the 'Live It Up' lady refused to rule out a return to the show, suggesting that she wouldn't be against the idea. Lopez said:

"I don't know what's happening over there. I don't know. We will see. I'm always open to the infinite possibilities that the universe has to offer. So you never know."

She added: "I was emotional about [leaving]. I just had such a good time there. It fit...I felt like family [and] I got emotionally attached."
