Jennifer Lopez has admitted that she has given up on partying as it affects her business.

The 44-year-old singer told Cosmopolitan that she would rather have an early night and be fresh for meetings the next day instead of partying late. She said:

"Once it gets past 12, I'm like, 'Oh, it's getting late'. If you're hanging around some after-party until the wee hours, how are you supposed to take five meetings in a row the next day?"

The star appears on the cover of the magazine's November issue, which is available to buy from October 3.

Lopez meanwhile recently confirmed that she will be returning to the judging panel of American Idol after leaving at the end of the show's 2012 series.
