JLo reveals her body insecurities: 'People told me I had to change'

Songstress Jennifer Lopez has revealed that she has the same insecurities as every other woman and has even been told that she should have changed her stunning appearance at different points throughout her career.

During an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, the superstar explained that it took her a long time to feel comfortable in her own skin and she is finally at that point:

"Early on, my family really made me love who I was and what I looked like. My body was nothing out of the ordinary in my neighborhood."

She added that over time she learned that it's important to be confident because as much as you might try to change you always remain the same:

'When I first started on television [as a Fly Girl on 'In Living Color'], people, and even my own manager at the time, would tell me I had to make all of these changes. But you have to stand up and say, ‘There’s nothing wrong with me or my shape or who I am, you’re the one with the problem!’ And when you can really believe that, all of a sudden other people start believing too.”
