Jessie J insists she isn't a flop despite poor 'Alive' sales

Jessie J has admitted that her last album didn't sell too well - but the singer says that doesn't mean she is a "flop".

The Brit unleashed her second record 'Alive' in September last year, but it only hit No.3 in the UK.

Her 2011 debut 'Who You Are', however, reached No.2 at the first time of asking and has now gone platinum numerous times with the help of numerous hit singles.

Speaking to The Sun, Jessie J confirmed that 'Alive' hasn't shifted as many copies as she had hoped.

However, the talented star acknowledged that she can't be at the top of the pile all of the time.

The 'Domino' singer said: "I'm very aware of how 'Alive' sold, which is why right now I'm working on new music to be put out ASAP. I'm a businesswoman as well as an artist and I'm aware 'Alive' didn't do as well as 'Who You Are', but that doesn't mean I'm a flop.

"It doesn't mean I'm not talented. It just means I have to re-evaluate what's going on in my life and what I can improve. It's funny that people tell me like I wouldn't see it. One year Yves Saint Laurent is the biggest-selling clothing line and the next it's D&G. You can't be the person at the top all the time."
