Jessie J: 'Women go through many difficulties'

'Price Tag' songstress Jessie J has revealed that she believes women need to stand up for themselves because just being born female means that you're presented with a string of difficulties men never have to face.

Speaking to London's Metro newspaper, the beauty explained that being a woman means that you face all kinds of issues:

"I see myself as a feminist, I think it's important. When you are born female, it's the most amazing thing but it's hardcore and I think people underestimate the difficulties you go through being a woman."

She went onto add that she feels strong enough to not let 'sexism affect' her, but admitted that it took a long time for her to get there: "For me, I feel confident and powerful enough that sexism doesn't affect me anymore. That's where you have to get to but not every woman is in a position where they can't allow it to not affect them."
