Jessie J's new single has shot to No.1 on the US iTunes chart.

The singer released the Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande duet 'Bang Bang' today (July 29) in the States.

At the time of writing, it has blasted its way to the top of the list ahead of the likes of Jason Aldean and Magic!.

The tune will feature on her upcoming third album, which is due to be released later this year.

Jessie J posted online a photo of the iTunes list, adding: "I can't even breathe! Tears of joy! You have no idea how much this means! Thank you THANK YOU."

The singer's best charting single in the US so far was 2011's 'Domino', which reached No.6.

'Bang Bang' meanwhile is due to be released in the UK on September 28.
