Jessie J: 'I'm happiest when I'm helping people with my music'

Vocal powerhouse Jessie J has revealed that she isn't driven by making money or launching fashion lines in association with her music career, but the one thing that does motivate her is knowing that she helps her fans.

Speaking to London newspaper Metro, the 'Price Tag' beauty explained that she's always very touched when fans tell her they have helped them through tough times, and it's what keeps her going:

"Being a female artist people initially think you want to prioritise things like doing a perfume and clothing line - that's exciting but it doesn't get me up in the morning."

"I'm happiest when I've made someone think about something they hadn't thought about before. When I was in China a boy threw a letter on stage. It said: 'I get bullied at school and the only thing that keeps me alive is the way you explain life to me.' It sounds really clichéd but that's why I do this."
