Jessie J has confirmed plans to tour the UK next year.

The Brit will play a series of shows across the country in support of her new album 'Sweet Talker'.

The singer revealed the news on Instagram on Monday (November 4), saying:

"UK I AM SO HAPPY to announce that I’m back on TOUR in the New Year! Tickets go on sale Friday 9am I will be playing shows in Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and London all in JANUARY!

"What a perfect way to start 2015! #sweettalker."

The run is set to kick off at Glasgow's O2 Academy on January 21 before concluding things at London's O2 Brixton Academy.

The full schedule is as follows:

• January 21 - Glasgow, O2 Academy
• January 22 - Newcastle, O2 Academy
• January 24 - Manchester, O2 Apollo
• January 25 - Leeds, O2 Academy
• January 27 - Birmingham, O2 Academy
• January 28 - London, O2 Academy Brixton
